In the late summer of 2003, British Columbia was terrorized by forest fires. The worst in a hundred years. The Cities and Towns around Lake Okanagan were threatened by huge fires approaching thousands of homes. The forestry firefighters did not have the manpower or proper structure firefighting equipment to fight these types of fires. They were busy in the forest. The Government called out 'Big City' Fire Departments from the Greater Vancouver area and any other department that could afford to send a truck and crew. These are photos from Surrey Firefighter's two crazy months there.

The New International Association of Firefighters Motorcycle Group. The Inaugural Ride was in June this year in Las Vegas and Tom, Ron and I attended. Here You'll find photos of the Inaugural Ride and our trip to Lake Havasu, Arizona, Death Valley and Route 66 after.

This year Tom and I rode to Sturgis via Kelowna, B.C., Calgary, Alberta and Montana. 5500 Kilometers in total. The weather was perfect (only 1 hour of rain in Deadwood. Check out photos from the ride.

In November of 2001, and November 2002, 150 Surrey Firefighters traveled to New York City to attend funerals and Memorials of FDNY Members lost on Sept 11. Mike, Davi, Tom, Brent and Lanny along with other Surrey members have been friends with the FDNY Rugby Team for more than 15 years. Fortunatley, none of these members were lost but the event has left permanent scars on everyone.

There are some great motorcycle builders out there but a lot of the bikes they build would not be as striking without the paint jobs. Here's a collection of some artist's work. Bikes are also a great canvas for artwork that makes a statement. Also to Remember and pay Tribute to fallen Firefighters. Check out some beautiful paint jobs.

When the soldiers came home from WWII, they bought their bikes and started chopping off parts to look and run better. The birth of the Chopper. Arlen Ness, Indian Larry RIP, Billy Lane, Cyril Huze, Orange County Choppers and way to many more to list here have made Choppers works of art. Imagination has no limits and it seems amazing that Choppers continue to awe us with new designs and concepts every year. Here's some choppers I like.

Harley Davidson Firefighter Special Editions are for sale to Firefighters. This may be a rule that Harley Davidson likes keep enforced. Some sale they sell these bikes simply for profit and don't care about firefighters at all. I disagree. Whether this is true or not, they are still a special bike with firefighters and no one can take that away. Look through this section if you are looking to buy a previously riden bike.

Engines, Ladders, Pumps, Trucks, Rescues and Squads. NOT the only Apparatus used by the Fire Service. This section explores different types of vehicles used by Fire Departments around the globe.

It's been a few decades since the debate started on what colour Apparatus should be. This section renders that question redundent. Fire Chief's are choosing a wide variety of colours for their fleets. Check out some of the colour schemes being used in today's Fire Service.
