WHAT IS PAYPAL?
PayPal is the credit card authorization service that processes our customers' credit card purchases on PayPal's secure site. The #1 payment method on eBay, PayPal is also used by thousands of web stores because of its security and consumer protections. PayPal is always free to buyers.
First time users complete a one-page credit card information form ("Sign Up" form) to help ensure they own the card being used.
PayPal works like every other authorization service when you use a credit card, but PayPal has additional security features.
"Verified" or "Unverified" account status at PayPal refers to an optional service that permits you to use funds from your checking account to pay for purchases. It is not necessary to get your checking account "Verified" if you simply want to pay for your MadMyk.com order with a credit card.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER VIA PAYPAL?
You simply click on the "Buy Now!" button that is under each product. This will take you to a page that will ask you for all your information such as your Credit Card as well as the shipping address. It's a very simple process!
PAYPAL SIGN UP TIPS:
- First-time PayPal users complete a short credit card information form ("Sign Up" form) which helps ensure they are authorized to use the credit card being used.
- PayPal wants to know the address where you receive your monthly credit card bill (while we here at MadMyk.com wants to know where to ship your order).
- Information about your checking account is not needed. PayPal's text about "Verified" and "Unverified" status refers to an optional PayPal feature that enables you to use your checking account to pay for merchandise on the web. A verified checking account is not needed if you simply want to use your credit card to pay for items at MadMyk.com.
- "PayPal rejected my password or email address." If you complete the sign-up form and it re-appears, the email address and password will be blocked out, meaning your attention is needed elsewhere on the form. Possibly you forgot to answer a question or forgot to click a required checkbox on the sign-up form.
- "PayPal rejected my address." First, make sure you type the address where you receive your monthly credit card bill, and check for typos in your city name and zip code. Second, if your city name is sometimes abbreviated or hyphenated, try different spellings and punctuations. For example: Ft. Washington, Ft Washington (without the period), Fort Washington, Wilkes-Barre, Wilkes Barre (without the hyphen). Third, if you sometimes receive U.S. mail addressed correctly except that the city name is a larger city near you, try using the name of the larger city for your address on the PayPal sign-up form.
WHAT IF I PLACED AN ORDER, BUT I'M NOT SURE THAT I PAID?
To check whether you actually paid, look for a "Receipt for Your Payment" email message in your mailbox. PayPal sends such a message each time a payment is made at their site. The message will be from a PayPal email address, and it will say something like "This message confirms that you sent $16.44 to madmyk@shaw.ca " The message will also include a clickable link to your PayPal account where you can see more details about the transaction.
If you are already a PayPal member, another way to see whether you made a payment to Avian Expressions is by going to PayPal. Then log in and click My Account.
If you did not pay for your order yet, you can pay any time you wish by going directly to PayPal and following these steps:
- Complete the one-page sign-up form if you're not already a PayPal member. (If you are already a member, log in)
- Click Send Money
- For Recipient's Address, type madmyk@shaw.ca
- Type the amount of your order and type your invoice number.
