The guys at HogGaiters sent me a pair of their leather chaps last summer.
This is a product that the creaters (Doc and Company) have put their heart and soul into. I haven't seen so much research and development in a small company as Hoggaiters has put into their product. Hoggaiters are a leather leg covering that zip onto your leg quickly and easily. They only go up to your knees and they zip up at the back. We all wear our leathers when we ride here but I found if you aren't going on a long ride and you still need a little protection from the weather, grit or cold these Hoggaiters work awesome. They're very easy to get on and off and they look good too. Doc at Hoggaiters said they sold out at Sturgis last year in only a few days. No wonder, with real thick leather, water proof and lots of different designs. Tan colors, Concho's and designs are available.
Check out some of these.

Doc has ask me to come up with some designs for the gaiters (I've been so busy I've let him down so far) but I have started on some firefighter designs that I think will look great on any one of their products. I know they've received permission to use the IAFF MG Designs (The logo I designed) and hopefully these will start appearing soon.

If there was one Web Site that a firefighter would go to to get fire-rlated parts and accessories, it would be Fireman Joes.
Joe McRae is a Captain with the Lone Peak Fire District in Utah. Joe and I have a lot in common when it comes to fire department design. Joe has managed to bring a lot of his motorcycle designs to life and now has a huge list of chrome accessories specifically for firefighter's bikes. I've purchased quite a few myself and ordering from him is a breeze. Some of the personalized items like shift linkages and back rests (pictured below) may take a little longer to get but any of his products are delivered quickly and in my opinion are top notch quality any of you would be proud to display on you bike.
Here's a few items I've purchased from Fireman Joe's but go to his site and tell him Madmyk sent you!

FIREMAN JOES BACK REST.
The FDNY-343-SFD is my personal tribute to the firefighters lost on 9-11. Surrey Firefighters have had a long relationship with FDNY Rugby at the World Police and Firefighter Games. Jimmy, Arty, Danny, Shreck, Mike (GD) George all lost members of their crews that day and we attended 9 of their memorials that November.
Joe has a lot of products that can be personalized this way.
FIREMAN JOES BACK REST PLATE - Joe will engrave anything you want on these back rest plates.

WINNERS CYCLE GRAPHICS
Winners Cycle Graphics have probably the closest thing you can get to true gold leafing. Of course only you old enough will remember what real goldleaf looks like. What a shame goldleafing isn't around anymore. The only reason being money that our civil pennypinchers don't want to spend I suppose.
Winners Cycle Graphics have a great selection of Goldleaf kits and Fire Flames.

FIREHOUSE TATTOS - Chicago, IL
There are two awesome tattoo sites on the web that are firefighter related. Firehouse Tattoos is owned by Chuck. Visit his site and then visit his shop. Chuck is the owner and Operator of Firehouse Tattoos and a real Fire Fighter. Chuck started tattooing after serving his country in the Marine Corp. 1991. In 1998 he started his Firefighter career with the Chicago Fire Dept. on the Southside. He opened Firehouse Tattoos 3 years ago at the original location 85th and Roberts Rd. The shop soon grew too small and by Spring 2005 Chuck moved to the current location in Bridgeview.
If you're a firefighter in the Chicago area and are thinking of getting a tattoo, why not go to a firefighter? He knows what firefighters like.
